Reporting to Manager, Professional Services and Support
Job Overview You will be the opportunity to work closely with high end customers, our pre-sales and engineering teams in order to handle all customer issues both pre-live and post-live. You will also be engaged in customer product trainings and on-site product implementations. You are also responsible for managing a team of 3-4 engineers and making sure support issues are handled promptly.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Providing solutions or workarounds to customer queries with minimum help from engineering
• Replicating, testing and verifying bugs as they are reported by customers
• Conducting onsite training
• Onsite product implementation
• Lead continuous improvement of processes
• Manage a team of 3-4 engineers
• Make sure prompt issue handling by the team
Experience & Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in software development or support services including one year experience in senior position.
• One year experience in managing a small team of engineers is required
• Experience in J2SE, J2EE platforms
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Bash, Python
• Familiarity with technologies like Servlets, JSP, EJB, JMS, RMI, XML, HTML
• Knowledge in industry standard database management systems ( MySQL, Oracle)
• Experience in Linux, Solaris, Windows Operation Systems
