Advisor ![]() Raomal Perea is an industry leader and a serial entrepreneur with significant experience in business and industry leadership in the IT industry. He played the role of Chairman of the Irish Software Association's CEO Forum from 2006 to 2008 and has been instrumental in leading the growth of the IT industry in Ireland. Raomal was the co-founder of two technology companies; Network365/Valista (www.valista.com) and ISOCOR (www.ISOCOR.com). Network365 acquired US company iPin and formed Valista in 2003. Valista was acquired by Aepona in 2009. ISOCOR was listed on NASDAQ in 1996 and subsequently acquired by Critical Path in 1999. Prior to setting up his own companies, Raomal was working for US Multi-Nationals setting up R&D centres in Ireland. Raomal is currently an Adjunct Professor, in the Entrepreneurship Department at Insead, teaching a number of courses in the MBA programme at Insead (www.insead.edu). He is also on the Advisory Board of SLASSCOM, Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies and a Strategic Consultant and Board Member for a number of technology companies, advising in strategic direction and the rationalisation of the core business operations. Raomal's most recent venture is ThousandSeeds (www.thousandseeds.com), a meeting place to stimulate entrepreneurship, business growth and learning through programmes, workshops and online communities.
Raomal won the Irish Software Association’s (ISA) Outstanding Software Achievement Award in 2003. Raomal is also a finalist in the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year’ awards. He was also one of 40 entrepreneurs worldwide chosen to join as a technology pioneer the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF); which provides a collaborative framework for world leaders to address global issues. Raomal has lived and worked in the US, Netherlands and Ireland. He has experience in developing business operation in Japan and the US and was instrumental in setting up Valista’s off-shore R&D centre in Sri Lanka.
